Redshirt sophomore quarterback John Robertson wasn’t ready to let Villanova’s season spiral further out of control. Powered by Robertson’s 140 passing yards and 119 yards on the ground, the Wildcats cruised to a 35-6 victory over Stony Brook in front of 11,617 fans at Villanova Stadium on Saturday.
The Wildcats (1-2, 1-0 CAA) were eliminated from the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs last year by Stony Brook (1-2, 1-1).
