Central Connecticut broke into the win column against CAA member UAlbany, and three of the men who had a hand in the last-minute victory earned weekly honors from the Northeast Conference.* CCSU kicker Steve Calitri received the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week award after booting the game-winning 40-yard field goal with 00:17 remaining at Bob Ford Field.* Blue Devils’ linebacker Chuck Watson, the NEC Defensive Player of the Week, made a career-high 15 tackles, including 3.0 TFL, as CCSU bottled up Albany’s ground attack.* A pair of running backs share the NEC Offensive Player of the Week accolade.* CCSU’s Rob Hollomon gained 205 yards from scrimmage in the road win and carried the load on the final drive.* Earlier on Saturday, Kyle Harbridge rushed for 230 yards and four touchdowns to lead Saint Francis past Lincoln.* The NEC Rookie of the Week award went to Duquesne quarterback Dillon Buechel.* The redshirt freshman signal caller threw for 362 yards at Youngstown State, accounting for the highest single-game passing total in the NEC this season.
