ACU's first challenge vs. a FCS team. Will the Cat's defense that hasn't really been tested be able to stand up to a much better offense? Will the Wildcat offense be able to move the ball vs. a much better defense? From my viewpoint the offensive line is still suspect as is the defensive line. We've continually been hurt with delayed routes over the middle because our linebackers have to rush the QB to get any pressure. If those areas have not been shored up, we'll have a difficult time tonight. This will game will show where our 1st year D1 program really is. I have hope that we'll fare OK but reality my be harsh.

I think, all in all, a good game by ACU. A couple of breakdowns (the last second punt return for a TD and a fumble inside the ISU 10 yd. line) kept this from being a nail biter. But as I suspected our OL was very suspect allowing 6 sacks and not being able to get our run game going. We need more beef up front on the OL which should come in the next few years. The defense held up surprisingly well with several big stops. This bodes well for the rest of the season and going forward.

Still nations highest scoring team after only scoring 17 vs ISU. Will be hard to sustain this average from now on.
