Sacred Heart rolled in its home opener to remain the lone unbeaten team in NEC football.* The 3-0 Pioneers won the season’s first two games on the road (Marist, Lafayette).* Saint Francis nearly sent shockwaves through the FCS, taking No. 17 James Madison down to the final minute in an eventual four-point setback in Harrisonburg. Bryant also led a CAA member on the road, but could not hold on at Maine.* Robert Morris and Central Connecticut both fell at home, while Wagner suffered a defeat at ACC member Syracuse.
