PantherRob82
September 23rd, 2006, 04:46 PM
why doesn't the coach leave him out for a bit?

SDSU did that against us last week. QB got jacked. Started walking to our huddle. Wandered around. Came back in and still didn't seem with it.

Dane96
September 23rd, 2006, 04:51 PM
He has been out for a series.

Update on Barksdale: Sprained left ankle, not looking good. This guy has NFL scouts looking at him-- awesome athlete who was a three year baseball starter before picking up football again.

Not good to not have him in. He sealed the game versus UD

Any chance UA gets in the rankings? 3-1 (with the hiccup against Fordham...arggh...that game KILLS).

UNHWildCats

They may enter at the bottom of my poll 22-25 range.

Dane96

I would hope for at least #25, especially with UD winning today.

UA needs to keep its head together for the Cornell game, a game they SHOULD be favored in.

FWIW, I had UA at 25 last week, but I don't think UD beating URI really helps much. As bad as the Hens are, they've always been built for beating a team like URI. UD can stop teams that don't pass. URI rushed for a lot of yards, but they do against everyone.

URI - 4 for 13 passing for 32 yards. I'm amazed they can beat anyone. : smh :

Dane96

Good point 89, but then again, UD was built to beat UA as well.

;)

Kidding man...good win today...a win...is a win!

Congrats to the Great Danes! Listened to the game over the web on Fox Sports Radio. Very entertaining game. I am sorry that U of Albany didn't take care of Fordham. They have the players on the roster to have won that game. Conference play will be really interesting this year in the NEC.

I don't think any team will be undefeated in the NEC Conference play this year. :twocents:

Albany stays at #27 in my mind......just too early to tell about the competition with UD and GSU struggling this year

Dane96
September 23rd, 2006, 07:08 PM
I agree Calif.Colonel, though for the NEC, maybe it would be good for Monmouth or UA to go undefeated...to ratchet up the conversation.

BTW, UA expects to break ground in late 2007, early 2008, for our facility to be 10 to 15k seats.

They hope it is ready for the 2009 Empire State Games (though...I doubt this can be done so quick).

good win today...a win...is a win!
No doubt that I will take it as they may be few and far between this year.

Was out of town and missed the games, but a late congrats to UA. A well fought win.

As I predicted the game was won by the better Defense of the day! UA deserves a lot of credit and should be ranked. As disapointed as I am, I think we lost to a good team, and have to hope UA stubles in NEC play for a shot at the title.

Two very ggod and bnalenced writes up by the local CCSU press. We played well, but with an inexperienced QB, to many mistakes and penalties, and a stifiling Albany Defense, it was a tough fought battle.

I have a question about the NEC tiebreakers:

What if the following plays out:

CCSU beats Monmouth, then MU beats Albany?

If all 3 teams (UA, CCSU, MU) finish with a 6-1 NEC record, with losses to each other. Is it based on points scored, point differental, OOC record?

Just wondering ...

Dane96
September 25th, 2006, 10:04 AM
I think they go to common opponents, then points. So it would be points, in your scenerio, and I think it is PA!
