Moving to 2-0 for the first time since 2008, Sacred Heart pulled out a wild road win at Lafayette and three Pioneers have earned NEC weekly awards as a result.* SHU cornerback Stephan Thomas claimed the NEC Defensive Player of the Week award, as well as Sports Network National FCS Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors, after locking up Preseason All-Patriot League receiver Mark Ross and forcing three turnovers (2 INT, FF) in the 26-24 triumph.
