So UND loses to a ranked SDSU team and we get 24 votes? We win over Valpo and get nothing. Um okay.xconfusedx

I'm not 100% certain, but I think one of the voters who gave EWU a first place vote had UND as #2 instead of NDSU....just a guess, but it makes sense.

Close loss to a great team, huge win over a **** team.. Seems pretty self explanatory...

Unless they gave us credit for a "close" loss. UND also went up in the Massey ratings too. Must be the SOS...only 4 more ranked teams to go this regular season (UM, MSU, EWU, and NAU).

I think this poll is underestimating Liberty Big time. That is the reason I hat preseason polls. They judged LU on the 6-5 year with a new HC last year and started them off the radar. So they will take a while to work up. *steps off soap box*

South Dakota still receiving votes. Is it really that difficult to pay attention to who you're voting for week after week?

Yeah with 24 points that does seem likely.

It is interesting that NDSU is 31 points shy of the maximum so that means the 6 voters who didn't vote have them at #1 had them at #6 on average. Connecting the dots.... :D

As I said in another thread, i'm on the CCU/Liberty bandwagon. Both teams have shown to be very capable through the first two weeks imo. Both MIGHT be better than SBU was last season. Who would have guessed that heading into the year?

Portland State gets only one vote. Compare that to several loser teams above them. Hmmmm!

Me, Haha. I think Oct19 in Lynchburg will be a HUGE game! However, Liberty has some big games before that - Richmond and ODU. I'm sure CCU does too.

What's really gonna drive the Bison faithful nuts is that not only did one of the voters give UND your 2nd place vote, another voter actuallly (apparently) thought NDSU is the 3rd best team.
146*25=3650
4 * 24 = 96 (one 2nd place vote accidently given to UND)
1 * 23 = 23 (one voter picked NDSU 3rd) :) xrotatehx

Both this and the AGS have the same teams in the top 7.
Both of them have rather large point drops between 7 and 8 as well.

Sac State received a vote, and they have yet to find the endzone. In fact, they are receiving more votes than they have points this year.

Maybe 2 voters got together and said, "I'll vote for UND to mess with them." The other said, "I shall taunt them a second time-picking them 3rd!"

Apparently going 2-0 against the Pioneer League will get you in the top 25 every time............

Georgia Southern is not #10.
They are either top 3 (I would put them at #2), or they shouldn't be ranked at all.

Should be top 10 since they are an auto bid conference :D

Thank God someone else said it.
Or is this just because you want to be facing a higher ranked team to make Wofford look better this weekend? ;)

I'm surprised Samford is not in the top 25. I know they're just outside, but they definitely seem deserving at this point.

Still haven't heard a good reason for Fordham 2-0 being ranked below Nova 0-2 after Fordhams win over Nova last weekend.

You know I like you, man, but come on. What has Liberty done to earn Top 25 recognition this year? Lost by seven to a neutered Kent State team that is clearly below average to mediocre without its best player? Beat an overmatched Monmouth team at home? Liberty beats Richmond, and maybe people will start talking Top 25. Not before then.

I really think that Samford has an identity problem, because we haven't seen a playoff game in the last 20 years or so. Voters are inclined to go with the more recognizable names IMO. I think this is only natural, and I don't blame them. We didn't help ourselves with a slow start at Ga State either. Right now, we also haven't quite proven our worth to be included for most folks. I did vote us in, because I know how good our talent is, since I am close to the program. This will all work out, however, as the season progresses, and IF we play up to our potential. Slam me for this if you want to, but I've seen lots of FCS teams this year, and our Dogs have the players to compete with most ANY of them. Check our size, depth, speed, and playmakers, and you can see why I say this. If we stay injury free and if we (again) play like we can, this is a scary team. Of course, I am not biased at all LOL.
