The homer ties Ortiz with Jimmie Foxx for the Red Sox single season record with 10 games left to set a new mark.

Against his old team, no less. I hope that's not the last historic homer to be given up by Boof Bonser. The more that guy's name is in the record books, the better.

Congrats to Ortiz for a huge milestone. Maybe the Sox can relax the rules and retire his and Foxx's numbers someday.
