Agreed. I'm so proud of this team. Being the same age as 90% of this class and sharing a lot of college experience with these guys makes me so proud to be a Bison. These guys are real living examples of what it means to be a Bison. I can't wait to see what they can do the rest of the season. This game will go down in NDSU history. Campus went absolutely crazy after this win. Every street had people yelling and cheering in it and somebody lined a street with fireworks (17th street) and lit them off.

K State had some very good skill players. I kept watching their supposedly awesome O-line to see how our D-line would do. Their O-line is good and gave their QB very good protection but the Bison defense is a unit that plays together.

The other comment I'll make is, I know the FBS haters love to say that no move up will ever be able to do what Boise has done/is doing. Well, I for one would beg to differ. NDSU seems to be having that kind of success as an FCS program, so I think they could emulate Boise at the next level.

They just seem to be able to squeeze amazing things out of the in-state kids that Minnesota, Wisconsin and Nebraska don't want (because they have their heads up their rears about 'recruiting nationally') and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Wow, managed to keep my 62 year old eyes open until nearly midnight! Great all-round performance by the Bisons, and a terrible job of play calling by the Wildcat's OC. Was anyone else surprised to see KSU virtually abandon the passing game in the fourth quarter?

Barring a spate of injuries NDSU has to be the odds on favorite to repeat this year (although Towson put on a pretty good show themselves this week).

They've already beaten the best team on their schedule I don't see how they lose a game this year. It was strange that KSU abandoned what was working, but that doesn't mean that it would have kept working either - maybe they figured that they had backed the Bison D off enough to where could run - maybe they thought they needed to smashmouth an FCS team - maybe they're way overrated. Right now its a Top 3 FCS win over an FBS team.

Now if only SIU is better than advertised and Illinois is as bad or worse than advertised...and UNI finally has one go their way...

Whether it is first, second, or third doesn't matter all that much. Stop trying to put into some kind of perspective, and just enjoy it!

I think Point A cannot be stressed enough. It seems that in many games the FCS team will get out in front and then try to hold on. Once the FBS gets the lead the FCS have a tendency to get down or give up. In the App State Michigan game I expected the same thing to happen when Michigan went up on App and AE through a pick on the first play of the nest possession.

Great teams don't give up, regardless of the opponent. The Bison showed that they are a great team!

It's time to savor your victory, but you need to get that focus back quickly. You might have beaten the best team on your schedule right now, but the playoffs are looming at the end of that schedule. You also beat a BCS bowl participant last year, and a member of the Big 12, coached by a legend of the game, BUT have you even stopped to consider how you will stack up with the juggernaut that is The Chattanooga Mocs? The have all their starters back and they have a world beater QB while all you have is Jensen. In the face of all of these "facts" how can you even enjoy this victory at all.

I could be wrong but I have to believe KSU coaches were worried about their D getting gassed, and rightfully so. NDSU's final 3 drives were 75, 74, and 80 yards producing 17 points over the last quarter and a half. That defense was done and they had to try and keep it off the field.

By the end of that play the attitudes of both teams were polar opposites and even though K State had the lead I think everyone on the NDSU sideline knew that K State couldn't stop them.

I agree. And maybe the discussion of what win was bigger has some merit at some time. I just kept seeing comments like this before the smoke cleared, and figured it was worth relishing the moment before downplaying it. I agree wholeheartedly that this ranks as one of the great FCS moments. And JMU shouldn't fall into the shadows because of it. All three wins could be argued as the best for various reasons, depending on your perspective. The App game was probably the best in regards to the effect it had on college football, and the exposure it gave to the FCS overall, as well as the App program. The JMU game could be argued as being better because VT ended up being a stronger team over the course of the year. JMU seemed to beat a more quality opponent than App in regards to how the whole seasons played out for Mich and VT respectively. The NDSU game doesn't yet have the advantage of seeing the true overall quality of K-state over the course of an entire season. If this ended up being their only loss all year, we might say this was the best win. Who knows till the season plays out. There are already reasons for saying this was the best based on K-states performance last year. But truthfully, it all comes down to opinion. They are all three tremendous wins, and they all earned a shout out from me and most of the collective voices of FCS fandome, so kudos to all!

The patches were then analyzed, with the intent to see which players lose more salt during strenuous work and which players tend to retain more. The point being: Losing salt is generally a precursor to muscles cramping.

“We identified those kids and made a list in fall camp,” Kramer said. “We tried to determine which kids are more prone to cramping, and we tried to get more salt into those kids.”

I don't think Bohl would take a job from a traditional Big 8 school, since it would be against Nebraska. Not sure if he would ever be offered the Nebraska job or if he would ever be able to forgive them for running him out of town. But Iowa, on the other hand, hasn't been a traditional rival of Nebraska even though they are border states.
