Armstrong returned 10 kicks for 182 yards, including six returns for 119 yards in the win over Princeton, a game that included a career-long 30-yard return. He will looks to play an increased role in the running game and on special teams as a sophomore in 2013.
At Ventura HS
Armstrong graduated from Ventura HS ranked third all-time in school history in rushing yardage with 3,181 yards and 46 touchdowns. A two-time first-team all-league and all-county selection at running back, Armstrong was a two-year team captain. He was a league all-academic team selection as a junior and senior, earned Ventura County Star Athlete of the Week twice and was chosen to represent the West team in the county senior all-star game in his final season. He was named the team and league offensive MVP after leading his team to an unbeaten league championship season after running for 1,632 yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior. Armstrong was named the Ventura County Star’s Student-Athlete of the Year and was voted into the Ventura County High School Sports Hall of Fame.

Brown was a two-time all-league selection at cornerback for El Segundo HS. He was part of a pair of Pioneer League championship teams and was invited to play in the 2011 California state and Lions All-Star games. A two-time winner of the team’s scholar-athlete award, the senior captain also took home trophies for most inspirational and most dedicated during his career. Caught three touchdowns at wide receiver as a senior and made 45 tackles with four interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. Brown also played one season of basketball and was a three-year letter winner in the sprints in track and field.
