Lehigh loses 14-10
Notre Dame gets killed 47-21, although Michigan is my Big Ten anti Penn St. team which makes it somewhat tolerable.
Temple is well Temple losing 62-0 again.....
Hopefully the Pats beat the Jets tomorrow and the Raiders show some life.

This was one of my best football weekends ever.
-My high school team beat our arch rival 31-21 while rolling up 395 yards on the ground & not completing a pass.
- Montana St. gets shut out 45-0 to Cal Davis.
- Michigan rolls ND (You have to understand my level of hatred for the Irish to feel my joy)
If only the Griz had played this weekend.

I had a pretty good weekend.
App State rolls over Mars Hill (Not that this wasn't expected)
Georgia rips UAB
NC State gets rolled by Southern Miss (everyone take a minute to wish my wife well. she's been very sad the past two weeks. I love rubbing it in to her!)

Pretty bad weekend for me, the two games I wanted to MOST went the wrong way....
Nicholls State dominates LaTech for nearly an entire half before ill-advised play-calling and not capitalizing on opponent mistakes lets LaTech back in the game and they then take control.
LSU played WAY too conservative offensively in a defensive struggle against Auburn. Had they opened the play book earlier than the LAST dirve, they MAY have won the game.
On good notes, my high school alma mater remained undefeated with a good non-district win against a pretty tough team on Friday night.
Then the SAINTS are 2-0 (yeah, that's right I'm admitting I'm a Saints fan) after spotting the Packers 13 first quarter points and 3 turnovers. the Dome will be ROCKIN' come next Monday night!!!

Not too bad for me:
-Colgate starts slow, but rolls late over Dartmouth
-Arsenal scores in the 80th minute to upset Man Utd at Old Trafford :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:
-The Giants (in spite of themselves at times :bang: ) complete the comeback! :hurray:  :hurray: :D

Tell me LeopardFan....I could just throttle Trent Cole. WTF are you doing incurring a penalty like that when they were looking at a 50 yard FG into the breeze!! He ruined a great day for him. I told someone when we were up, 14-7 and dominating and looking to extend, that I wouldn't be satisfied until we had a 28-7 lead.

yeah, I couldn't believe that...it's like they just collectively took the foot off the gas...and things sounds bad for Kearse, although I haven't heard anything official yet...

LF, he is done for the season or at least until mid-Dec. Would Russo or Tavani let that happen? Well, Russo perhaps. I still remember the Maine (get it) game in 1983 at home when we were up, 38-14 in the early fourth and lost in REG, 39-38. It was an early Oct. game but I don't think the players ever recovered from it as they struggled to a 6-5 season even though I think they were undefeated until that point (who has the media guide?). Another perspective: at that game, I think Maine had more fans than UPenn fans on the visiting side on Saturday. And I won't even bring up the Lehigh games of 95, 96 & 97 when we lost solid double digit leads - especially that DOT game in 1995.

Horrible weekend in the 89 house... Hens lose 17-10, UVA loses 17-10, Eagles blow a big lead and the Skins offense is non-existent (OK, I'm actually happy about that one, don't tell my wife).

Can't get any better then this...
New Hampshire cruises 62-7
New England holds on 24-17
Sox take 3 of 4 from the Yankees in 48 hours. (back to back doubleheaders...ugh good thing the Sox have today off)
The only downside to this weekend, it took longer to fill out my ballot. 9 of the 10 teams from 16-25 either lost or had the week off. Needless to say theres some new teams in my poll this week including 2 IVYs and San Diego.

UNH, the only thing I take joy out of is the Sox wins! Hadn't even heard about it. Kinda takes the sting out of last months fiasco! I am neutral on the Wildcats (altho rooting for them to take the I-AA this year since Lafayette won't do it) and the Pats (unless playing the Eagles when I am against em or playing the Cowboys, Giants or Skins - very much a Pats fan then!)

Well the Pats won which saved my weeked football wise. Brady isn't setting the world on fire but once he gets comfortable with the new set of wr's he'll be back to his old self. The wr's appear to be very talented yet somewhat raw, Brown is a willy vet, Jackson has major potential, Caldwell could be a good #3 and Watson is a beast. When you add in that OL with Maroney and Dillion the D should be a well oiled machine by the end of the year. The other pieces appear to be in place for another Super Bowl run. The Phils keep chugging along although they look like they are going to lose tonight. My other NFL team, the Raiders, are absolutely dreadful. Al Davis needs to die, seriously.

I think it's pretty cool that Temple's fan posts here. I knew he would turn up somewhere:D
Seriously though, I think Al Golden will turn that program into something respectable.

Hey i'm always around. I'm not sure about Golden. A man can only take so much punishment. We're looking at another winless season with atleast 4 or 5 serious ass kickings(Clemson, Penn St, N. Illinois, Bowling Green and maybe Navy), we've lost 62-0 the last two weeks. Temple's administration is so inept that other than the womens basketball program, thank you Dawn Staley, we have very little. I believe Dunphy is best person to lead the mens team but we already have 3 guys academically ineligable for the first dozen games. I have to believe if Golden doesn't see a significant increase in committment from our administration he will bolt for a top assistent job somewhere else, he'd be a fool not to. A loyal group of Temple alums and Owl football fans are starting to push forward for an on campus stadium. The land will be there in a couple years as Temple continues to gobble up blocks around campus. If the team can become atleast compentent and the new president supports athletics i see that as a realistic possibility within 7-8 years. However if the current trend continues we should drop the program and put all our resources into the mens and womens bball programs.

Only good thing was Easton High School winning 49-0 over Allentown Allen. The Red Rovers are now 3-0 and have not been scored up yet! Now ranked #5 in State. As an aside, the Lehigh Valley League has 3 teams ranked in the State's Top Ten (Quad A) with Bethlehem Liberty and Parkland being the others.

I'm pretty thrilled about those Louisville Cardinals myself. But there are a few road blocks left....WVU comes in November 2, and they still have to play at Pitt. The Cards head to Kansas State this weekend without Brian Brohm, but Hunter Cantwell should be up to that task for sure.
Morehead Eagles, I hope your worst fears come true on that one...lol.

UL and WVU has to lose. IMO no school from the Big East or Pac-10 deserves a title shot b/c of their crappy conferences. My pics are Ohio State vs. Auburn for the NC.
I hope about 4-5 schools have one loss though and it kills the stupid BCS.

The Pac-10 looks as good as any conference save maybe the SEC, but then again most SEC teams don't play anyone OOC so we'll never know (yes I remember Cal/Tenn - it's too bad they can't play now as opposed to week 1). The BE looks way better than the ACC so far. The B10 has 2 top teams and a lot of mediocre to very bad teams. The B12's best OOC win so far is vs. UW ( )and they were 0-4 against the Pac 10 last weekend.
But then again, why let actual game results get in the way of good stereotypes

People are now just assuming that the Big East Sucks...to be honest they are looking no worse than the ACC at this point. Louisville dominated Miami in the same week that WVU pounded Maryland like I've almost never seen before. FSU is clearly not 1/10 of the team that people thought they were...which pretty much leaves a a Virginia Tech team to carry an entire 12 team league on it's back.
Meanwhile, The Big East has two top 10 teams (and just try to explain why either one of the them doesn't belong)...and Pitt will be working their way up the top 25 very shortly as well. Even Rutgers is beating up on several teams from other BCS leagues. RUTGERS!?!?!?!
