Anyone have any devastating injuries to report before the season starts? UNH lost a DE to a torn ACL already.

We had a guy get struck by lightning during practice yesterday, fortunately he's ok and was released from the hospital before practice ended.

The sports guys at work last night were saying University of South Dakota had five running backs coming into fall camp and have lost three of them (2 for the year for sure, the other a question mark as the injury happened yesterday and no updates yet.)

Jasper Sanders (out for the year), Earv Archambeau (out for the year), Khorey Kilgore (out indefinitely). Trevor Bouma and Jordan Roberts, both redshirt freshman, have even more on their plates now.

Others of note:

WR Anthony Williams apparent knee injury
LB Kyle Staples, a projected starter, is also out.

(per Jeremy Hoeck at the Press and Dakotan)

UM has been pretty healthy

MSU has lost their best LB and their 2nd best DE for the foreseeable future

Gale is out 4-6 weeks and reportedly should be back for the Big Sky opener against UND.

Our number one defensive producer, Carson Smith (LB) went down with a dislocated ankle last week. Gone for the season. he can get a medical redshirt though. Hope he takes it.

ASU fans would remember him as the guy who ran the blocked punt back for the TD last year, but most of them had alrady left the stadium so maybe not.

A dislocated ankle? For him to be gone all year there must have been some tendon/ligament damage as well.
