Harvard drew 11,209 against Holy Cross today. That's great for an opening game for the Crimson. They usually only attract 8000-9000 for Patriot games.

8660 were at Goodman for Princeton. I think it would have been well over 10,000 had it not been raining all morining in SE Pa, especially since the game was on TV.

Georgetown at Brown drew only 4,656 to Brown Stadium. I know it's really too far for GU fans to drive to, but still, that seems low for a defending Ivy champion.

It's late, I'm tired from working and I'm drinking, but I think that's 114% capacity. Anytime we get into that SRO land, it's alway fuzzy what the actual attendance is! On a positive note, that's well over 2K more than the Iona game drew last year and it's an over capacity crowd.
Does anybody know if they count students in the actual attendance? And I wonder how many season ticket holders like me missed the game today?

Yes, they do count students - they do a clicker-count when they take tickets and admit students with their IDs, so I'm pretty sure they are included in the official attendance count.
Where I think they miss-count is the people that are watching the game without paying for a ticket - the ones who sit up on the hill in front of Bremner Field and in the corner of the endzone near the grandstands. You don't need a ticket to see the game there, and that area was pretty full yesterday.
The home side stands were packed yesterday - there weren't any empties in my row, and hardly any empties that I saw, the student section and GA were both full, as were the bleachers behind the endzone. It was a more-than-capacity crowd yesterday.

we had 17,800 at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro. Many were expecting a loss so that explains the low amount. Hopefully we will have around 19000 for the next home game but I doubt it, Eagle Nation is not exactly on a high this year after the first game.

How is WKU going to deal with the 15000 person rule, I know the NCAA is not enforceing it right now, but i heard that it will be cracking down soon, and i think that with a few exceptions, demand goes down for a while after the initial surge because you are adjusting and won't be anywhere near as good??
also anyone know where I can get a link that shows all Division I schools attendence per game?? I'd like to see how App, UD, and Montana do against other schools in I-A. We are at about 24000 per home game so far, and I don't expect it to dip much, if at all.

Question, were you there in person? Apparantly not by your comments. Here is a first hand eyewitness report, 23,346 at one point. All tickets are scanned at APP.

JMU2004, unfortunately, when you're up 21-3 at halftime, some of the drunker and I don't want to say it; less interested fans leave, happens all the time at app because we build up big leads at half time (MHC, JMU, CCU,WCU,GSU all 3 last year) so a bunch of fans head home early to escape the traffic mess, or to sober up. Or whatever they do.

Richmond announced 10,500 against VMI. Although, we've all decided that the stadium's capacity is not 21,000. The place looked well over half full. The conspiracy theory is that attendance is being under-reported due to the city threatening not to approve the new stadium... :bang: :bang:

Officially, 10887 for Nova-Umass, not bad for a 12,000 seat stadium and the worst Villanova football product I have seen in years. The place looked like a sell-out to me. I'll be shocked if we win 3 games this year.
