I will say that playing in Fargo is not what did us in. We made some crucial mistakes (including not finding a kicker last year), and NDSU made us pay for them. Kudos to the Bison for earning it!

Georgia Southern was tougher than I remember! NDSU won by 3. UCA dropped TDs in the endzone to bring it within 1. Nice playoffs last year! Can't wait for this year!

That was a gut wrencher for sure. Huge momentum swings both ways. Mistakes by both teams but key plays made at crucial times too. Just a fun college football game!

That GSU-NDSU game was a fun game to watch. Although who will take over GSU's streak of losing in the semi's, I do not know.

I don't remember the Big Sky getting 2x #2 seeds? Wasn't somebody #3?

These things seem more exciting when your team wins it.

Well, with games involving seeded teams, wouldn't you expect that the better team would be playing at home?
The only seeded teams to lose to a non-seeded team were Big Sky teams vs Sam Houston State - and SHSU was only unseeded because they screwed themselves with their schedule.

I hope Colgate has learned its lesson. Word is that we did not bid on a home game in the first round.
Wagner was clearly the better team and deserved the win, but walking away friom a home playoff game makes no sense.

The committee was afraid nobody would find the stadium. What a sad and gloomy place to be....................can't see how Colgate recruits players into the middle of nowhere. Love the gravel underneath the home bleachers. reminds me of driving in WVxlolx

You should have seen that side back in the day, when it was wooden bleachers with lots of splinters.
Not so sad and gloomy, though. Come see a game on a nice fall day and you will understand.

Someone made a mistake posting that. Obviously, Eastern Washington was the No. 2 seed and Montana State was the No. 3 seed. (as is shown on the official NCAA brackets). EWU BEAT Montana State in the regular season and the two teams tied for the Big Sky championship, along with Cal Poly. EWU also won the auto-bid from the Big Sky Conference.

It sure was a gut wrencher. For those criticizing Brock Jensen's skills, that game is a pretty good dismissal of them all. While the guy is not a stat machine like a lot of college QB's, he put the Bison on his back for the game winning drive.

not gonna lie. I watch it back every once and while to see Jeff Monken lose his ****ing mind when he has to take the 2nd timeout at the end. If he had a dog, he may have kicked it at that moment.

My typo! Montana State was #3. I should have just copied it from College Sporting News (http://www.collegesportingnews.com/content.php?865-2012-NCAA-Division-I-Football-Championship-Field-Announced)

I was at that point just watching the game in how we bungled that personnel package getting onto the field.

Unfortunately, there is some incriminating evidence that leads one to believe that some of the brackets were already in place BEFORE UNH and Towson played their final game.

I think it was appropriate that GSU and NDSU got the opportunity to play the last two years. It would have been a huge loss if the two sub-FBS super-heavyweights (no disrespect to um, asu, ysu and others) had never matched up with everything on the line and both programs in prime form.

I honestly think you only got our best shot once, and that was last year. We weren't quite back to our full potential in 2011, as we had a QB that didn't threaten the defense the same way as QB's in our past had. You guys were definitely strong that year though. That game last year really should have been played in Frisco. We shouldn't have been forced to matchup before then. Would have made an epic game even more epic.

Well isn't that a great picker-upper! And certainly explains the first round bye they got a day after getting kicked all over the field.
