Any fans on here? I am quite new to the league but thought I may check it out a little bit now that NBC is carrying every single game.
Anyone got suggestions on a team I can put some rooting interest into?

Long time fan of English football. My personal favorite side - Arsenal. Many years ago, the Gunners were the first English side to play a controlled passing game when the standard style of play was "boom it long and hope our guy gets there first."
It's easy to get caught up in the hype of the "famous" clubs. You may want to watch the first part of the season and determine which side strikes your fancy.

Long time fan here as well. Have always been a fan of United. When I started watching in the old Fox Sports World days (97-98). United were one of the only teams having their games broadcast. Its nice now with all the coverage I rarely miss a match.
As OhioHen said it is easy to get caught up in the big club hype (United, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal) but you may consider Stoke City or Sunderland both sides have American players in the team and are fun to root for.

I prefer the Bundesliga because of their style of play and financial rules regarding spending. If I had to pick an English team though....Tottenham no doubt.

Liverpool fan here, woke up at 7:30 yesterday to watch the Reds win their first opener in 5 years. I'm actually feeling somewhat confident about this season, Mignolet was incredible yesterday and Lucas was everywhere. Sturridge scored a great goal and Coutinho was creating all kinds of chances, I fully expect him to be our best player this year. The big question is what will happen with Suarez. I personally wish we would sell him, even if it's at minimal price. He's the most talented player on our team when he plays but he's not motivated at all and I think the team plays better without him. Sell him and find another player or two that can replicate the production. Also we're closing in on signing Willian with a 30m bid, that's only going to strengthen our attack. Willian, Coutinho and Sturridge could create a deadly attack and net us a finish as high as 5th. Don't think we're top-4 caliber yet, just not good enough.

I'd much rather watch the Bundesliga but it's never on tv.
I have no BPL team I follow, but I've taken a ton of those "who should you follow"deals and it keeps coming to the same couple teams each time: Tottenham or Liverpool,..occasionally Arsenal or Chelsea
I don't know what to make of that do I'm just going to know that I will hate both Manchester clubs, and will try to avoid being a fan of a club that will face relegation every season, and see what happens

I love picking a team expecting to be in a relegation battle because then long after the team I cheer for is out of title contention, I can get excited to see how my small club is doing at the end of the year.
