Juan Pierre of the Cubs is battling for the NL lead in hits with 182. Last season Chicago's Derrek Lee led the senior circuit with 199 hits. They'd be the first Cubs teammates to lead the league in back-to-back years since Abner Dalrymple and Cap Anson in 1880 and '81. Who were the last two players from the same team to lead the NL in hits in back-to-back seasons?

You are both wrong.
In 1982 Expos first baseman Al Oliver led the NL with 204 hits. The following season Montreal's Andre Dawson tied the Astros' Jose Cruz for the NL lead with 189.
