The Sacramento State football players and coaches don’t have to be reminded of what slipped through their fingers last year.
Seven games into the season, the Hornets were 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Big Sky Conference and still riding the thrill of a 30-28 last-minute upset of Pacific-12 Conference member Colorado in Boulder.
