For the first time this preseason, the Western Carolina Catamount football team hit the turf at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field in full pads for two and a half hours on Tuesday afternoon. The fifth practice session of the 2013 preseason was among the most intense as hitting picked up, especially in competitive drills which pitted the offense against the defense.
