The Sam Houston State football team opened up preseason practice Monday night at Bowers Stadium. The Bearkats will hold 29 practices leading up to the season opener against Houston Baptist on August 31.
Sam Houston is looking to back to Frisco to play in the NCAA Division I Football Title game for the third straight season. Bearkat head coach Willie Fritz says the work the team puts in before the season will be a big in trying to get back to Frisco.
