The way Nick Beard figures things, his listed statistics from last football season are wrong.
While tied for second in the Ohio Valley Conference with nine passes broken up, the Eastern Illinois safety does not have to be told he did not have an interception.
“No, man, and what’s so crazy is that two of those PBUs were interceptions that I dropped,” Beard said at Saturday’s EIU media day. “Those contributed to the goose egg for interceptions so I really don’t consider them PBUs even though they were.”
