Man there were a lot of pics to process.
Here are two sets; a photo essay (http://web.mac.com/drjman/iWeb/CSUBucs.com/Photos%203.html) from the spectacle that is the Citadel, and game shots here (http://web.mac.com/drjman/iWeb/CSUBucs.com/Photos%204.html).
Lots of photo ops at a Citadel game.

Very very nice shots, drjman! What kind of gear are you using? I like the vignetting on the some of the wide shots, adds something special.

The wide shots were on a Canon 5D with 24-70 f2.8L --it has a slight bit of vignetting and barrel distortion at the wide end, and I'm not telling all my Photoshop secrets! Just kidding--I do almost everything in RAW.
The action shots were with a 70-200 f2.8L on a 20D at about ISO 800-1600.

My next lens (when I find a couple thousand bucks sitting around).
Great shots drj! Were both sides of J-H open for business? I've really had a hard time finding any photos of the stadium.

BTW, have to ask... do they really let the Cadets dip during a game? Nice Gatorade spittoon. :p

Great pics.
You'd be amazed at the things that cadets will sneak into the games.. It depends on what uniform they have to wear. The summer leave uniform that you see in that picture doesn't have a lot of hiding places. The cans of dip and mini bottles are surely stuck in their socks. When it comes to the bulkier wool uniforms later in the season, anything goes. I've even known a cadet or two to wear "civies" or regular clothes (button down shirt and khakis) under the wools, and then slip off during the game. The only planning required for this is that you have to have a regular pair of shoes stashed somewhere that you can get to.
The spitoon was probably handed to him by an upperclassman to hold it for him.

Are those knobs in that photo?

Yep. They line up on the field pre-game and the team runs through them.
You can tell by their blue shoulder boards with nothing on them. The number of stripes on the board goes up each year you're there. 1 for sophomores and three for seniors.

Extremely well done. Will you be making the trip to Lynchburg in November?

Thanks, not sure about Lynchburg -- we'll see.
Here's a shot for you:

Great pictures. Maybe I will get to a Citadel or Charleston Southern game in October when I go home to visit my mom, (in the North Area). The last time I went to a Citadel game I had a ball. That was in the mid 80's.
