they were actually decent that year (8-4 incl loss to Alabama in final week), but no playoffs since they had weak SOS. But they were better the following year and won a playoff game before bowing to #1 UNH by just 5 points in round of 16.


Doesnt change the audacity of his initial post ... it was rather bold .. stupid, but bold.

It really is silly. North Dakota State, what a joke. From the state of North Dakota to the city of Fargo, nothing but a laughing stock. North Dakota State football, what an embarrassment, they've been hiding in D3 NAIA, for the past how long. Finally they decide to play football, they have a pretty good recruiting plan, they hit on some good players, won a few national titles. Targeted the worst possible FBS opponents to raise their profile, won most of the games. What chicken **** program, hiding in NAIA as "North Dakota State University" what a bunch of cowards. And now to have some beginners luck and you are Alabama. You are a C***. So yes, the fact that our football stadium hosted the national title for 3 times longer than you have even been eligible for it, does makes us better than you. Let's say y'all have been better every year of D1 and maybe 5 other random years. That's about 10 percent of our program. You guys aren't Alabama, you aren't even my jock strap. One thing people should realize is every fan base probably does have an individual just like this...however, none of the Chattanooga faithful ever knew who ChattTown was/is. HE burst on to the message boards with a flash and an opinion...and about as fast as he popped off his comments, he was gone in the same flash...never to be seen or heard from again.

There is even speculation that he was an alter ego of some troll from another SoCon School to provide fodder and bulletin board material...and when it comes down to it there is really only one SoCon poster that the Mocs have lived in their head rent free for several years...However, the aim of that particular poster's quiver is more so fixed on the CAA Schools at the moment.

I'm feeling rather positive and nostalgic. I'm not going to try and convince anyone that this team can play with the top tier seeds. I will say, this team is very gritty, They had to be a different football team on Saturday. They had to change their identity on offense. With Keon Williams out and Huesman hobbled they couldn't be a power running team. But time and time again the drives would stall in Samford territory. Samford was struggling even more to move the ball offensively, but they found the big play, we couldn't hit it. But you just knew, even down 14-0 in the 4th, there was still a run. Our guys made it and I'm proud of them for making it. We need some help but it ain't over yet.
