52 - Joe Turner1787517876

Joe Turner
Height: 6-3
Weight: 265
Year: R-So.
Hometown: Roswell, Ga.
High School: Roswell
Position: OL

Bio
2013 Spring Summary - Turner was one of the bright, young stars along this Paladin offensive front, and is coming off a season which saw him garner SoCon All-Freshman recognition. The Roswell, GA All State Guard , had a strong initial season for the Paladins, and the 6-3, 265-pound redshirt sophomore started eight games for the Paladins last fall at right guard, left guard and right tackle seeing action in 11 contests.

2012 - The Paladins got some somewhat surprisingly strong play from its offensive line this past season, coming into the campaign with what many perceived as a “patchwork” offensive line.
Supremely key elements along that offensive front this past season were veteran left tackle Dakota Dozier and true freshman offensive guard Joe Turner.
The Roswell, GA., product logged action on starts in eight of 11 games for the Paladins during the 2012 campaign, showing his versatility and offensive line, as he saw action at both offensive guard positions and offensive tackle along the Furman offensive front. Turner saw action on 550 plays for the Furman offense in 2012.

2011 — Member of scout team...awarded redshirt and extra year of eligibility.

High School: 2011 graduate of Roswell (5A) High School...football coach was Leo Barker...three-year, two-way starter on the offensive and defensive lines...collected a host of honors in 2010, including Atlanta Journal-Constitution first team all-state, Associated Press second team all-state, first team all-metro, first team all-region, and first team All-North Fulton County...helped key Roswell to a 7-5 record, region championship, and state playoff Sweet 16 appearance his senior year...member of Roswell’s 10-2 squad in 2009...attended Furman Football Camp...standout performer in track & field, specializing in shot put and discus.
