Would anybody be interested in doing a couple previews for my SWACtalk podcast (especially any FCS Wedge guys).

What are you looking for? I can write up something for you to read if that's what you need. I have a pretty good hold on the SLC this year. It would go something like this:
Returning *stars for each team
A little about recruiting
Predicted favorites.
Maybe a little OOC stuff.
Of course all info would be drawn from school websites and fan messageboards. If the SLC is playing any SWAC teams then maybe a talk about those games?

Basically what I'm doing is looking at teams that are facing SWAC schools in OOC play. So returning starters, maybe top recruits, and a season outlook. Any info on McNeese, Northwestern St, Sam Houston, and SFA would be great. It doesn't have to be very in depth, just want to give folks an idea of what to expect.

McNeese:
Rushing: 204 per game, passing 208 per game. Balanced attack.
Rushing:
SR TB- Wiltz, Marcus 64.3 ypg
The cowboys average 204 yards rushing per game in the 2012 season and held opponents to just 112 yards per game. Balanced attack on the ground as 6 different players rushed for more than 20 yards each per game on average.
Passing:
Led by SR. QB Cody Stroud the Cowboys passed for 208 yards per game while allowing opponents to throw for 254 yards per game.
Receiving:
It appears their leading receiver, Darius Carey, is gone and they have Diontae Spencer, SR WR, who averaged 34 ypg returning.

Jacksonville State opens the season August 31 at Alabama State. They have a new head coach in Bill Clark, who had been the defensive co-ordinater at South Alabama. Clark is a Jax State grad.
According to the school's website, they will run a 5-2 defense. They return 4 starters on offense and 7 on defense. Last year's starting QB, Coty Blanchard, was taken in the baseball draft and is gone.
Here is a link to a post on the Jax State board, where some poster gives a rundown of what you seem to be looking for as far as who's coming and going and starting.

An interesting note is that the punter, Hamish, McInnes, is from Australia.

Strengths –
Offensive line again for the Jacks will be solid for junior All-conference player Gus Johnson as well as giving Attaway plenty of time to check down his receivers.
Questions on offense –
With the departure of All-American Cordell Roberson, who will the Lumberjack’s turn to for that new go to receiver? How will Brady Attaway respond to his 4th OC in 4 years? Can the offense cut down on the turnovers (41 turnovers for 2012)? Does first year OC Chris Truax have some new wrinkles in store for the Jack’s high power passing attack that will involve more rushing? And finally can the Lumberjacks win on the road as SFA went 5-0 at home and 0-6 on the road in 2012, having only won two road games in the last two seasons at Lamar and at Nicholls in 2011.

Strengths –
The defensive front for the Jacks should prove to be stingy against the run with the return of all-conference defensive end Malcolm Mattox to the outside where he thrived in 2011 and preseason All-American Darren Robinson as well as the additions of Bryant and Hatten in the middle.
Questions on defense –
SFA loses 6 starters on defense including a pair of All-Conference players and an All-American in Jefferson and Aubrey. The Jacks need to replace basically the entire line backing corp. with Collins as the only returning starter at that position as well as a gutted secondary.
Special Teams

- Special teams for the Jacks in 2012 was uninspiring to say the least as SFA gave up almost 2,000 yards in kick off and punt returns, as opponents averaged almost 30 yards per return. Kick coverage will no doubt be priority one on special teams for the 2013 season.
