A nationally-televised I-AA vs I-A game featuring UMass vs Navy. Kickoff is just a few minutes away!
A few of us have picked UMass as a possible I-AA win over a I-A this week. Best of luck to the Minutemen against the Middies!

This is a change of pace...
CSTV is talking very highly of the I-AA Minutemen and I-AA level from the get-go saying there's not much differrence between the two levels...
No wonder Ralph is providing I-AA.org content to CSTV.com!

We might be without our top WR today as London might be out with a wrist injury. Todays game will be all about the D though.

UMass returned the kick for a TD but flag on the place brought it back

A shame that one was called back...would've been UMass 6-0!
Got UMass confidence up and they're already striking on first down, into Navy territory!

UMass's 'D' will likely adjust and begin playing the tiple option much better as the game goes on. It's tough to play well vs Navy's attack until you get a feel for the speed of that option attack.

They said the heat on the field is playing a big factor on the game. Hopefully we can start tackling better

UMass should be leading. If they limit mistakes in the 2nd half, they should win the game.

I didnt come in expecting a win. If we play well in the second half we have a shot, but Navys backup QB is moving the ball well against us and I have a feeling their offense will fatigue our D in the second half with the heat.

Make that 2 forced fumbles and shoulda been 2 fumble recoveries if he didnt try to pick up the damn ball

Did you guys just hear that idiot say "one of the few times a IAA will play a team (up in level) without scholarships. UMASS gives 63, while Navy gives none."
Is that guy for real?! Technically correct, however EVERYONE AT NAVY GETS A RIDE...

Well we played decent today but too many key mistakes for the upset. With that said I am happy with the way the defence did against the option today... Play calling I think was huge in the reason we are not coming home with the victory. With that said... look out for us the rest of the season. Our D is for real and our offense has weapons to score.

The blame is on Brown's play calling. Nice effort by UMass.

I give some credit to Paul Johnson. He prepares his teams well and always has an aggresive opportunistic defense. I thought Umass had more than enough talent and Physciality to beat Navy but as I said earlier I thought Johnson would have the Mids ready.
Johnson does a great job of 2nd half adjustments. If he outcoached Brown, well it won't be the first time he outcoached an A-10 coach.

UMass played well... but they never really took advantage of those Navy turnovers... they should have won this one.

Great effort by UMass. I thought they had a good chance of winning this one and probably should have. Don't quite understand the short pass plays on the last drive especially since they had very little time to get about 60 yards for a FG attempt.
