Not entirely surprising. There seem to be some "changes" ahead at HC: outside study/consultant work on athletics being done, new Prez at HC etc etc.
I don't think we'll see "fundamental changes etc" but this will be a very interesting hire.

Interesting. I guess they care about athletics at HC? If this was Lafayette, they would rehire him next week.

IMO....a so-so job overall...hired Ralph Willard which brought hoop back from the abyss, though hoop has since sunk back down over subsequent hires. Hired Tom Gilmore though some maintain Gilmore was hired by others at HC. Hockey and baseball have improved under his watch....the minor/Olympic sports still languish at the the bottom of the PL.
It's a very difficult job/position currently given the admission standards at HC, size of the school (under 3K) and the number of interscholastic sports offered, 25.....amoungst many other issues.
