McManamon was penciled in as a starter in 2012 and opened two of the four games in which he played befroe suffering a season-ending injury as a sophomore. He ended the year with five total tackles, including two each against Yale and Harvard. McManamon opened all 10 games at defensive tackle as a freshman in 2011, earning his first letter in the process. He recorded 19 stops, including a sack, during his rookie year. He posted a career-high four tackles and a sack in the win over Wagner and notched multiple tackles in seven contests.
At St. Edward HS
As a senior, McManamon recorded 80 tackles, including 37 for a loss and 20 sacks for St. Edward HS. He also had 25 quarterback hurries. A National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete award winner, he helped his team to an undefeated (15-0) state championship and the No. 2 ranking in the country by Rivals.com.

Shane William McManamon is the son of Jim and Kerry McManamon and has two brothers and two sisters. Rivals.com.
