I think I like it. I'm still partial to the old one, hopefully we'll see how it looks on some apparel soon.

To make it clearer, shouldn't "Division 1" be more prominent? That's normally the issue we all look at right?

I agree the "Divison 1" should be bigger then the "FCS". By the way what does the FCS stand for again? xchinscratchx

In interviews I've read they just want it to say FCS vs Football Championship Subdivision.

So another name change in less than 10 years for a division with an identity crisis.
Man 1A and 1AA were so much simpler.

Name change? Just kept it at FCS vs the words in the acronym.

Doug Fullerton was able to get Divison I put on the Logo, but it was Jim Delaney's job to reduce the size.

Ralph, I definitely will not miss you.
And I is the Roman Numeral for 1 so what I said is technically still correct. I don't see you losing your **** when people talk about D2 teams "OMG THERE IS NO D2 YOU GUYS, I'M SUPER SERIOUS"

It's a difference in naming policy, driven by the fact that the original name change was nothing but lip service to the division and does nothing to help the recognition of the league.

FCS is obsolete.
The national champion of both Division I sub-divisions will be decided by a playoff championship starting with the 2014 post-season.

An irrelevant point.
It's not called "Football NCAA Championship Sub-division".

I will miss you (whatever your name is). I never met you at a game in Statesboro, did I?
The Roman numeral is a basic thing in college sports, simple.
Not alot of D-II talk here my friend.
Changing the name from a subservient AA was a big one.

The FBS "playoff" is an improvement but it isn't big enough to be legit in my mind.

Excellent point! I would give you reps but trolls here have neg-repped me to death hahahaha. Ohio State, Alabama, Florida State, Southern Cal, etc. have never won an NCAA Division I championship in football.

The difference is that people know exactly what you're talking about when you say 1-A or 1-AA. You talk about FBS or FCS and they look at you funny.
