Cunningham saw reserve action in one game, earning his first collegiate appearance against Harvard. He will attempt to break into the offensive line rotation as a sophomore in 2013.
At Memphis University School
Cunningham played on two state championship teams at Memphis University School and was named second-team all-state by ESPN. Cunningham was part of four regional championship teams while playing on the offensive line and at tight end. A preseason all-state pick as a senior, he was named one of the top players in the state by TNVarsity.com. A three-sport athlete, he also played four seasons on the basketball court, earning team defensive (junior) and offensive (senior) player of the year honors. Cunningham also played one season of lacrosse. Cunningham was part of five top 10 national AAU basketball teams, including a national runner-up squad in 2009, and helped the Memphis War Eagles to seven state championships.
