Yale and Harvard will take their ancient rivalry to the bright lights of The Big Apple next season.

The schools have signed a deal to play each other at New York's Madison Square Garden on Jan. 11, the Register has learned.

The time has yet to be determined, as have the television rights, but the game is expected to be broadcast nationally.

I hope UND meets Yale in the playoffs again. We want a rematch.

"When it comes to the history and heritage of college sports in America, it all begins with Harvard and Yale," said Ben Sturner, founder and CEO of Leverage Agency. "It's been a dream of mine to bring these two teams to New York City to play in the most famous arena, and it's been an amazing journey working with the dedicated folks at Harvard, Yale, MSG and NBC to make it happen."

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Six recruits who signed National Letters of Intent to play at the University of North Dakota were selected in the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft today, the most of any NCAA program in the nation.

Forwards Adam Tambellini, Luke Johnson and Wade Murphy, along with defensemen Keaton Thompson, Tucker Poolman and Gage Ausmus, were all chosen today at the league’s annual draft held in New Jersey. It marked the 13th time in school history that UND had at least six players taken in a single draft, and the fifth time under head coach Dave Hakstol.

Its nice to see NHL games and knowing you saw the players when they were in college. I enjoyed watching Jonathan Towes at UND now he is a Stanley Cup champ. It sucks if your good players bolt early for the NHL. But hopefully a future NHL'er takes his spot.

Yah, I was worried in the baseball draft that MSU might lose some underclassmen. Sounds like some of the seniors were signed. I like seeing WCHA guys who get to play in the NHL.

I'm going to miss the rivalries from the old WCHA. The new one just won't be the same. xsighx

I think the NCHC will expand and hopefully will add MSU and maybe Bemidji State. There are 5 schools in Minnesota why have 2 in the WCHA, 2 in the NCHC, and 1 in the B1G, have 4 in the NCHC and the Goofs in that island of a conference.
