Savannah State is competitive in multiple sports in the MEAC now - won the Basketball and Softball conference championships and just built a new football stadium. They went 1-10 in football in 2012 but are a program on the rise.

When you've been a complete nightmare for more than two decades, "rising" to become a 2-9 a bucket of warm spit is an improvement, but a "program on the rise"? xlolx xlolx xlolx

2006: 3-8, with a forfeit, an NAIA win, and a Div. II win
2007: 1-10, fires coach Theo Lemon
2008: 5-7, with one Div. I-AA win, but the most wins since 1999
2009: 2-8, fires coach Robby Wells but pays Wells $240,000 in a discrimination suit
2010: 1-10, fires coach Julius Dixon
2011: 1-10
2012: 1-10, fires coach Steve Davenport and his staff after the spring game

.....when will CCU FB do a home and home with ElCid? They have room on their future schedules......they are tired of beating up on Chuck South.

We have them on the sked for 2014 I believe. Not sure if it is a home and home though.

I don't know if 2014 schedule has us playing. I'd be somewhat surprised since my understanding is that Coastal previously requested the two play but the Citadel was less than motivated to play us. Plus I doubt the Bulldogs have any interest in a home and home.
