Illinois State defensive end Nate Palmer became the first Redbird selected in the NFL Draft since 2007, when he was selected in the sixth round by the Green Bay Packers Saturday. Palmer was selected as the 25th pick in the sixth round by the Packers and was the 193rd player taken in the draft overall.
