Great story. I remember when Szczur donated he made clear he would have absolutely no reservations about missing the playoffs for the opportunity to save a life. Fortunately for the VU football community, it didn't time out that way and he was able to lead us to the championship and then undergo the procedure.

Great story, I'd have to think that the NCAA would be more than willing to give him an extra year of eligibility if he pursues it. Regardless, it's an incredibly selfless act by him.
