VERMILLION, S.D.--USD football's offensive and defensive units competed to a 28-28 tie at the team's annual spring game Saturday inside the DakotaDome. Quarterback Josh Vander Maten passed for 112 yards and ran for two touchdowns. Linebacker Tyler Starr had two of six defensive sacks and forced a turnover near the goal line.
