Liberty vs St. Paul had I'm guessing 6000-7000, possibly more. I never heard an actually attendance figure. There were 4000-5000 students there. There were over 10,000 tickets sold, but with the rain and cold temperatures a lot of people didn't come out. For a team coming off a 1-11 season, having almost 5000 students stay for the entire game was very good.

YSU always seems to be just a teeny bit better than us in attendance. (2005 avg.: NDSU-14,160 YSU-14,544)

Wow, my guessing was off. The announced crowd was 8500 and that was in the pouring rain. If that number is right, 6-7000 had to have been students.

Only 3,014 in Cullowhee but the rain had a LOT to do with that. By the 3rd quarter, the field looked like a slip and slide and MAYBE 500 fans left in attendance, but the team looked good. GO CATAMOUNTS!!!

Samford had 10,386 in a stadium that is said to hold 6,700. This a very good crowd for Samford.

Students love Thursday night football.

UCA was in Little Rock, a neutral site...so they didn't really host, but Conway is just north of LR...

Anyhow, 10,515 in the Capital City Classic at War Memorial Stadium for UCA's debut as a I-AA Independent...

Looked like about 10-20K showed up for the SSU vs. BC game. (no announced number I could only visually guess how many were on the one side and endzone of the stadium)

One of the most silent crouds i've ever seen watch a football game (highschool included), quite boring.

People there didnt care much about football, they didnt even get excited for the 1/2 time show, then when I left I realized there were more people in the streets than at the game :(

very sad and made me miss the excitement of GSU Football!!!!!

Okay I did a little research of my own, judging by the main I-AA schools, excluding those african american schools known as I-AA but are NAIA; YSU had the highest attendance at 16,645.... Texas St. and JMU came in 2nd and 3rd......

UMass had 8,191 for Colgate - about what I expected given the students were not back and the media hysteria about Ernesto (who was a no-show).

This classic has lost its luster every since we stopped playing them. With SCSU and Benedict fans in the state, we averaged about 48,000 each time we went to Williams-Brice Stadium. Even though we averaged a 41 point victory margin, it was a good old-fashion rivalry that dated back to Noah's Ark!xlolx

I can believe that no one was there and that it was very boring. Most of the fans were on the fairgrounds tailgating weren't they?!?:D Besides, who is SSU going to beat now since they just lost to the easiest team on the schedule?xcoffeex Congrats to my godbrother(Justin Kinsey), who started for Benedict yesterday!
