Official I-AA Fantasy Football Thread - Week One

Week 1 of the I-AA Season is upon us, and with it the fantasy season as well.

For anyone that wants to check out the squads, you can head here:

The league is comprised entirely of AGS'ers for the second straight year, and the level of competition is going up as well. I'll provide periodic updates throughout the year here, and I'm sure there will be some FFL related smack talk throwing down too...

kard, I should have replied to the e-mail you sent, but was thinking of joining up and plum forgot to do it.

I wasn't sure I'd have the time to spend on this this year. I've got a lot of free time at the moment, but with my upcoming retirement, move, job hunting (got to start that) and a lot going on at work, I'd rather have the time to do it properly and have fun, rather than put myself in a situation where it is a "chore".

Thanks for the invite, I should be in a much better position next year to participate properly.

Hey Kard, what exactly is the scoring system?

6 points for TD?
1 point for every 50 rushing yards?
etc

Scoring system:

6 pts for TD scored
3 pts for TD pass
1 pt for 10 yards rushing/receiving
1 pt for 20 yards passing
2 pt for 2 pt conversion scored
1 pt for 2 pt conversion pass

Huge week this week as 4 of the top 5 high scorers play each other:

#1 Gil Dobie (1-0) faces off with #2 AppGuy
#3 PatWulf (0-1) faces off with #5 Hawks Nest (yours truly)
#3(tied w/ Pat) NevadaGriz faces off with 2 frequent finalist laparka

Of course, this is OOC play, so its about getting in good position for the at large.

Plenty of time to recover - tons of great players still out there (benefit of 12 fantasy teams spread out across over 120 actual teams)...

Also, you still have a few weeks until conference play starts, and 2 of the four teams will be based purely on records in conference play (autobids), while the other two are based on overall (at large bids).

Now, if your team is still bad in a month, you'll have issues.

I don't have all the AGS names, but "fuzzietaco" is ButlerGSU, AvidMarc is Killtoppers90, laparka is laparka316. The remaining ones either are using their AGS name, or I don't know it...
