A tour bus carrying a women’s college lacrosse team careened off a Pennsylvania freeway on Saturday, killing two people and injuring several others.
The driver of the bus died, as well as one other unidentified person, local NBC affiliate WGAL reported.
The bus was carrying 23 lacrosse players and three coaches from Seton Hill University, Pennsylvania Turnpike spokeswoman Renee Colborn told the Associated Press.
The team from the Catholic school in Greensburg, Pennsylvania was on its way to a game when it went off the freeway at about 9 a.m. and crashed into a tree. Photos showed one side of the vehicle seemingly torn off, though it was unclear whether the damage was caused by the impact or rescue workers.
Three people were transported to the hospital by helicopter.
The team was headed for a game against Millersville University. The school’s athletics department carried a notice on its website that the Saturday home game against Seton Hill University had been canceled...

The article says they weren't sure if the damage was from the accident or from the fire department, the way that drivers side is ripped off like that was done by the tree they hit, not a Hurst tool. They were moving pretty quick when they stroked that tree.
