The MN state hockey tournament has lost a lot of luster since going to two classes. Of course, don't get me started with the four class basketball system which I really hate.
If they are having two classes, don't have any private schools like Breck in the small class- make them be in the big class.
I agree with darell- go Green Wave! And I'll pull for anyone to beat Edina and Hill-Murray. When those to teams are the only ones left it is like pulling for body odor or bad breath- I just don't like either one.

I know a guy that won't go on Championship Saturday if 2 private schools are playing for the trophy.
Hermantown wins game 2, 3-0

St Thomas won by 2 TD's, more evidence they may want to play AA hockey.

The guy who I subbed for today and will again tomorrow is at the state tourney. He is a big hockey fan who really enjoys being there in person. Former TRF Prowler.

It's a great event, I've been to quite a few myself and it's a great atmosphere.

St Thomas with 23 goals in 2 games should be the favorite tonight. Edina vs Hill Murray might be a game.

St. Thomas is a scoring machine. They are moving up next year. I hope that Hermantown can knock them off but I'm not optimistic. AA- two schools I dislike intensely are playing. Puke.
I'm done with the tournament for this year. I'll be at basketball today.

St Thomas and Edina are the 2013 Champions.
Edina is coached by former North Star Curt Giles and assistant coach another former North Star Don Beaupre.

I heard that Hermantown got a horrible call from the refs at the end. Too bad for them.

I heard that Hermantown got a horrible call from the refs at the end. Too bad for them.
They were up by two goals in the third. Questionable call in the last two minutes gave St. Thomas the power play. H-town was ready to break out, player was pulled down, nothing called,St. Thomas slap shot with six seconds to go for the win. The announcers, who were neutral, were going crazy. I had been listening to the Gopher basketball game at Purdue on my way to Rochester- starting choking just like the Gophers so I turned to hockey and listened to the third.
On my way back from Rochester listened to the UND-MSU game. SRO from what I heard- Mavs won in OT. Now the Purple Mavs host the Red Mavs for the playoffs.
