He won without the best talent at Kansas. I heard that some of the boosters did not like him. They have since slid back into the depths of FBS football.

Well, he's been pretty well documented as having anger issues. He was a great assistant at OU and I don't remember any kind of reports of that while he was there. It was when he took over at Kansas that it got crazy. He could just be one of those big time control freak guys that have to have everything a certain when they're in charge. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it can lead to communication issues with others. Evidence of this would be the fact that he refused to let his players hit him with the Gatorade shower after one of their big games. He actually had assistant coaches warning players not to do it.
