Samford Adds FAMU To Schedule

Not true...Nicholls State back in 2004

Not counting the many games we've played against BCS schools.

As for the game, I like it...we actually ended up giving up the Atlanta Classic to make this one happen and add an extra home game. We expect our team to be very competitive this year and we want the OOC schedule to be pretty decent.

And apparently we will return the trip to Samford...who knows, maybe a nice little rivalry could develop.

I apologize, let me clarify. An FCS FAMU has not played a regular season game against an FCS PWC opponent since Georgia Southern in 1992. The only time since was when FAMU was transitioning to 1A and was not a 1AA team themselves in 2004 and played a mostly FBS schedule (Illinois, Tulane, Temple, Virginia Tech, Florida Atlantic, & Florida International).
