Ahh what i long strange trip the next 12 weeks will be. This year looks like we'll be trekking 2128 total miles to get to every Lehigh game except Holy Cross and that is still a possibility. Be visiting the the historic Yale Bowl and our nations capital along the way. We'll also take trip down the PA turnpike to 'Nova and end the season navigating the bowls of Easton for meeting 142. It's 83 miles from my house to Goodman Stadium. How many miles a year do you guys drive to follow your team?

OK, how about 6200 miles, for starters, just to attend UMaine's five home games? Then there will be round trips to Youngstown OH, Williamsburg VA, Chestnut Hill MA, Amherst MA, Towson MD and Kingston RI.
Ballpark ... about 10,000 road miles this year.xidiotx xidiotx

Last year:
(from Charlotte)
7 x Boone = 1400
Citadel = 400
Furman = 200
Woffy = 150
Elon = 220
LSU = 1400 Air, 160 ground
Chatty = 700
Total - 3,230 ground, 1,400 air, 4,630 total.
This year is going to be a short one, regular-season speaking. Only 2,530 as of now...all games except at Chatty...

A paltry 1120 miles for 9 games, not including at Harvard and Colgate. If I go to Harvard, it's via Amtrak. Colgate would raise that total to 1560.

This year is going to be a record for me following the Bears.
1 game in Little Rock=1 mile round trip
4 games in Conway =200 miles (4x50)
1 trip to Illinois State =700 miles (guessing)
1 trip to SFA=700 miles (guessing)
1 trip to S. Dakota State =1200 miles (guessing)
1 trip to Cal-Davis =2400 miles (guessing)
1 trip to Sam Houston=800 miles (guessing)
1 trip to Ga. Southern=900 miles (guessing)
This should total between 6,500 and 7,000 miles.
Should be fun!!

This will be a record year for me, and my paltry mileage proves that I would never survive in the Great West or Big Sky.
Home games @ 40 mi. round trip X 5 games = 200
Princeton = 160
Harvard = 1,300 (includes "side trip" which is necessary if I am going to be "allowed" to go)
(Maybe) Colgate = 400
TOTAL = 2,060
At $3.00/gal. and 25 mpg that comes to almost $250.00 for gas. Yoiks!

Furman 245*2= 490
TOTAL.... 2204 miles

Hell I'm driving 1370 round trip miles just for the first game of the season!

I think UCD has everyone beat here - starting off the season with trips to Colorado, Texas, Montana, Ohio, and Cal Poly before the home opener. That's followed by a trip to South Dakota later on in the season. Round trip that adds up to something like 15 or 17 thousand miles

Short for me:
UD home games 7 x 126 miles roundtrip = 882 miles
If I go to the URI game (540 miles roundtrip) = total of 1422 miles
Those darn JMU and Richmond gametimes cuts out those roadtrips (little kids don't travel particularly well).

Just had to drop one home game (Stony Brook) and a trip to Dartmouth out of my plans (got to work to pay for the plane ticket and the gas!! :eek: :p ), but it will still be a well traveled season.
1 trip to Evanston, IL ----> 1,818 miles round trip
4 trips to Durham, NH ------> 936 miles
1 trip to Newark, DE --------> 496 miles
1 trip to Boston, MA --------> 204 miles
GRAND TOTAL ---------------> 3,454 miles
Then I'll drive to SW Florida instead of Kingston and Orono, almost 2,000 miles longer!! :rotateh: :rotateh: xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx

One of the band members calculated it out to a bit over 16k, I think. And they will be attending all the games, barring something unforeseen. :)

For 'Nova it will be about 120 miles roundtrip
For Yale and Georgetown--I'm goin' by bus with Southside Boosters--can't beat it---rolling bar. Although it'll be about two 20 mile roundtrips to the bus.
Lafayette--roundtrip of 7 miles!!:D
Only away game I'll miss this year is Holy Cross--have a prior business commitment that weekend.
So for all away games, my total driving will be about a HUGE 167 miles--how's that for the 'least' record?:D

For just four games = two round trips to Boone 2028 one to Raleigh 822 one to Gnatsboro 1450 total 4300..... If attending some UD game counts add two trips to Newark 240 = Grand total of 4540 / 18 mpg times $3 gal = $756 for gas I must be xidiotx xidiotx to pay that for just four games. : smh : : smh :
I may also try to squeeze in an ARMY game another 455 miles and $76 in go juice.

I feel like a novice compared to you diehards- but seeings as I actually live about 15 miles from Goodman (for you Mountainhawk fans)- the trips to Liberty are not very common. Round trip mileage is about 700, x2 games is 1400 for home games.
Gonna try to make Towson, which I believe would be about 300 round trip for me, so I top out at 1700. Had they not backed out of Rutgers, I would have had about 150 more. Maybe next year!

I have to fly to EVERY McNeese game this year home and away and I will not miss any game for any reason. But according to Yahoo Maps, If I will travel a total of 23971 miles to attend McNeese games this year. I live in the Chicago land area.
I did not include the mileage I will travel between London and Detroit for our game against Toledo because I will just happen to be flying through Detroit. But I did include my miles between Detroit and Toledo as well as my mileage back from TOL to Chicago. I'll do that again the week we play at home against Nichols St, but I will probably come home to Chicago first befor heading sown south, so I measured the trip from ORD.
