GSU baseball as bad as its ever been. Really poor coaching.

StonyBrook finishes it's regular season this weekend with a double header at Hartford slated for 12 noon today and a single game on Saturday. The Seawolves must win 2/3 to gain the 4th seed in AE Tournament next weekend. Tough season compared to last year when we won 53 games and a College World Series berth.

Furman concludes the season with a final series with Dayton. The Paladins have already clinched a berth in the SoCon tournament. They are waiting for the weekend's results to determine whether they will be the 5, 6, or 7 seed.

As I understand it, one more loss by Georgia Southern, and Furman can finish no worse than 6th. If WCU sweeps App, Furman will be the 5. Both seem like they certainly could happen.

StonyBrook split their double header with Hartford . Winning game 1 2-1 then losing game 2 9-8 in the bottom of the 9th. We came into the 9th inning leading 8-6 but could not hold a lead with 1 out

W&M finishes a solid second in CAA after pre-season projection of seventh. Coaching change at end of last season seems like a great move. Finished the year @ 35-20, with good chance of making playoffs, whether or not they win the CAA tournament. Go Tribe!

Furman beats Dayton again. With GSU's loss to Charleston, Furman is guaranteed at least the 6th seed in the SoCon tournament. One more loss by App and the Paladins will have the 5.

StonyBrook beat Hartford 10-3 today to earn the 4th seed in the AE Tournament. We will face #1 seed Maine on Wednesday

UND went 13-5 to finish the regular season with a lot of momentum. We are a very young club with our freshmen and sophomores really coming on strong in the last half of the season. Hopefully they can continue to carry us through the Great West tournament.

Northern Colorado took the regular season title away from 3-time defending Utah Valley.

Poly sweeps Northridge to tie them for second place in the Big West. Next up for the Mustangs is a three game series at Pacific. Northridge hosts Fullerton. UCSB gets three with UC Davis and Irvine, well, I don't know who they are playing, either Riverside, Long Beach. Both UCSB and Irvine are one game back of Poly and Northridge. Fullerton of course, won the league title. Poly's RPI is currently 23rd, and a good showing against against Pacific should take them back to the tournament. UCSB or Irvine might have a real outside shot at the tourney, but it would require Poly to be swept by Pacific, they would need to sweep their opponents and then, there would need to be some other strange things happening...so, it really looks like Poly and Fullerton will be in for the Big West...

El Cid sends WCU to the loser bracket in the SoCon tournament. 12-11. We get a day off.

Good to be in the driver's seat. Just have to keep playing D and keep the bats going.

Whoop their butts. Would rather see you guys in the finals.

That said, they burned 3 pitchers tonight, and played 3 in one inning. They could be in trouble.

Ha, we owe y'all one. Two straight ninth inning rallies for naught, I'd say we are due.

Western is tough, gotta swing it to beat them. I'm hoping the long, late game and the pitchers burned will give us an advantage. Our starter gave us 8 today.

Was a good game last night. Little annoyed that the weather or SoCon pushed Furman back to the late game. As the host team, Furman is entitled to play the 5:00 game until they lose. Oh well.

Furman shut down Elon two nights ago, so let's see if they can pull the trick again. I think Furman and GSU would be a good matchup for the bracket finals.

Uh oh. Sam lost to LSU 8-5. They will face ULL 3 pm tomorrow.

Valpo will face Austin Peay tomorrow 1 pm. Also Towson vs. FAU, Elon vs. UNC-W, Liberty vs. Clemson.

And yes, Columbia is still alive... They nipped the Lobos in 13 innings 6-5 and will face the loser of Fullerton/Arizona State tonight.

I think the Bears have this team figured out...but its a matter of having pitching arms left. Even with two bears throwing complete games, our arms are tired from winning 8 elimination games this past week or so.

But Bear proud no matter what...

Kinda scary we were 7th in the SLC... when the bats go cold, they go cold during conference..

Thanks, Bear! Yah, it was double elim until the final game. MSU got to the championship unbeaten while Tampa lost, then beat Grand Valley who MSU had beaten. Tampa scored five in the second against the Mav ace and that was pretty much the ballgame. MSU probably had their best sports year ever- semi finals in football, regional finals for men's basketball, regional semis for women's bb, NCAA hockey appearance, an number of conference championships.

There is is some talk about Mankato and St. Cloud going D1 but I'm afraid it would come at the cost of football- like UN-Omaha. I'd rather stay D2 with football than D1 without.
