Sorry if this has already been posted, I'm a little slow.
PHILADELPHIA, PA - Richmond head coach Dave Clawson and New Hampshire associate head coach Chip Kelly are among ten I-AA coaches named to American Football Monthly’s “Hot Coaches List,” it was announced in the August edition of the magazine.
Clawson, the 2005 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year, led Richmond to a share of its first league title since 2000 with a 7-1 Conference mark. UR finished 9-4 overall and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA I-AA playoffs for the first time since 2000. Richmond's six-game win improvement from 2004 was the best of any team in the playoff field and tops in the Conference. The Spiders enjoyed an eight-game winning streak in 2005, the longest in the A-10 this season. He also garnered National Coach of the Year honors from I-AA.org.
