Here's where Albany is going into signing day, as far as we know. We have a whole bunch of full rides to hand out so we should have more than this and some Jucos.

Verballed:
Marcel Ngachie, LB (MD)
Kyle Downer, QB (VA)
Michael Senn, OL (NY)
Ryan Griffin, Rover/RB (NY)
Kalief Joyner, TE (NY)
Ben Pagan, TE/OLB (NJ)

Offered:
Austin Weeks, WR (NC)
Naiquan Thomas, OLB (NJ)- Verballed to Rhode Island
Felix Small, DE (PA)
Ebenezer Ogundeko, DE (NY)- Verballed to Baylor
Eric Hampson, OT (FL)- Verballed to Old Dominion
Tre Dempsey, CB (FL)- Verballed to NDSU

Marcel Ngachie is a 3-star recruit and is one of the highest rated defensive recruits signing with an FCS team in the nation today.

We're crossing our fingers hoping he doesn't get plucked by an FBS team.

A perusal of Maine's website has zero information about National Signing Day. I am shocked, SHOCKED, that the Maine athletic department has handled this incompetently.

Let me tell you about Mainsah. Sticks to recievers like glue and strong. He is still a raw talent but is very, very fast. and you see the 5'9" height? He also plays basketball and dunks with regularity. I have watched him for several years at Charlotte Catholic. He is a quality pick up for Richmond.

Is it me or does 25 signees seem like a lot. Just because I forget, how many scholarships did SBU give last year (not sure if you were full or not)

Several reasons our recruiting class is large

1. A TON of our players are grant in aid over the past few years

2. We redshirt a significant percentage of our freshman class (close to 100%)

3. While we didn't lose a ton of starters, we lost a bunch of depth players. That said, we also have dozens who are just off a redshirt ready to step in

Btw, not on that list are quite a few LI players given preferred walk on spots. Not guaranteed yet, so no formal announcement.

Overall, I'm extremely happy that we're keeping the best talent on LI, with few on our level going to other FCS teams.

Looks like the CAA is still taking kids from UMass.

UMass's prized kicker recruit (Ian Maltz) from last year transfered to Albany (rated by some as the top P/K combo in teh country last year).

Word is another Delaware player (WR) is looking to transfer to Towson later as well.

Delaware is supposed to be cutting down on the number of WRs on the roster and start bringing in more RBs.

Thank for sharing. I think Mainsah was a late commitment. His video was very impressive.

Not sure about JMUs class. Many skill players but NO help on the O/D lines. Once again MM goes for the usual suspects without addressing the team. Recruiting speed and swagger from high school rosters will not win CAA titles.
