No love for Gino? He played in all but one game this year for the Ravens.

Good to see Birkie get some props! He is one of Harvard's all-timers, and I believe he has the longest NFL career of any Harvard grad.

Simple oversight. Quality coverage of FCS is abundant...this was just a careless mistake. xsmhx

You only have to look at the rosters for two teams. Sad.

Just for the reord, Cary Williams started his collegiate career at Fordham where he was eventually thrown off the team. According to a poster on the unofficial Fordham board, Williams was tossed for not getting along with teammates and coaches and because he refused to take off his helmet when asked to do so by one of the co-captains. Cary claimed in the NY papers last week that he was tossed because the coaches did not recognize his talent. Who knows, but unless he did not want to sit out a year, there may well have been a reason that other FCS teams were apparently uninterested in what turned out to be a gifted db.

How ironic. He should've been thrown out of the game last night after he shoved an official during that early scrum.

Randy Moss played for 1AA Marshall
I watched him beat my Griz like a red headed bobcat fan in '96

Happy he didn't get a ring last night and by the effort he put in the game he didn't deserve one

Interesting story (OK, maybe not) on Jacoby Jones ... a New Orleans native, he ran track at Southeastern Louisiana about the time the football team was brought back in 2003 ... he attempted to walk-on to the team and did not make it. xoopsx ... He transferred to Lane College, bulked up and the rest is history.

Interesting tidbit, and thanks for sharing. I went with the "official" explanation.

Jewell Hampton of SIU was on the Forty-Niners roster for the game. It's a bit strange since Brandon Jacobs from SIU was released from their roster just a few weeks ago after complaining about his lack of playing time.

Didnt Hampton transfer in from Iowa?
