Curious on how long it's been since some teams were in. At work and bored and too lazy to look it up.

Yes, but they both made the playoffs last year, so you guys didn't knock them out of their last playoff appearance.

easy does it killer, I was just joking around a bit. Thanks for reminding me why law school at W&M was so less enjoyable than undergrad at JMU;)

It would be nice if we could get them back to Bowers (especially in the playoffs). Could be a great rivelry in the making if we can just get them on the schedule.

2002. In my dreams. Playoff selection day was a bad, bad day; that was probably the best ISU team in 20 years.

Actually, its been over 20 years, 1983 to be precise. I'd be curious to know what percentage of I-AA has made it to the playoffs within the last 20 years.

We've never been to the playoffs but we did beat the eventual National Champions (Boise State) on the road in our very first I-AA game in 1980. We finished 8-2 that year and probably would have gotten a bid in today's I-AA. Might have gotten in the next year too. Of course we dropped football after the 1985 season and just recently reinstated the program in 2003. I don't think it will be long before we make our first appearance.

Yep. I remember that game well. SIU 43 WCU 7. The Saluki D had about 7 INTs. This probably tells you that I am a Saluki fan and older than most on this board.
