When I was young a couple sports personalities that I liked took a turn for the bad.

I was a Detroit Tigers fan, and my prize glove was a Denny McLain 31 win model. Denny was the toast of the town, 2 Cy Youngs, World Series Ring, 31 game winner.........then the decline and the rest of the story.

Who's your fallen sports hero.

Kirby Puckett, MN Twins outfielder. His reputation suffered around MN when he had extra-marital affairs and we found out that he wasn't quite the baseball saint that we had hoped for.

Being younger than most of you all I'd dare say I grew up with alot more fallen stars. Mine personally was Manny Rameriz and then even a little David Ortiz, growing up as a Red Sox fan.

Same here. He was the reason I loved the Twins growing up. I was glad to see two games with him one of them was against the Orioles with Cal Ripken Jr.

Since his death, I have learned more about his life. There is a young lady in St Paul that claims to be his daughter, but Kirby was not able to have kids, as his own 2 children are adopted. Tonya was/is a Biatch, and would not let Kirby see the kids for several years. The news media dragged him through the ringer, some rightfully, most not. He played hard every day.
