I'm surprised I don't see Joe Lund, NDSU Center and 2012 FCS Rimington Award winner.

I'm surprised I don't see Joe Lund, NDSU Center and 2012 FCS Rimington Award winner.

Lund isn't really considered a NFL prospect at this point. He's going to need a strong pro day to guarantee himself a shot.

Wilcox got a combine invite, so we will see how he does there.
Some draft projections have him going in the second round. I think he will be the second drafted FCS player behind Alford.

Yes he got one in late December. He was one of the first. NFL teams and their scouting services I have spoken to have him high. I'm hearing 3rd-4th round on him. I think it's got a lot to do with his upside and raw athletic ability.

Which credible websites have him in the second round? There are only about 4 out there who are accurate at all and I didn't see him up there on those?

I saw a first round prediction for JJ. Mayock, I believe said second round.

Good to see Darnell Taylor on the list. Hopefully his knee rehab goes great but I suppose it really puts a damper on his pro shot. Can he be ready before camps start?

I saw a first round prediction for JJ. Mayock, I believe said second round.

Who said first round for him? Honestly, I think 2nd round would be too high. I would atke him in the 5th personally, but I think someone will take him in the mid 3rd to mid 4th. Name a SoCon DB in the last 5 years to make it to his second contract, which when you take a player in the top 3 rounds is essentially you saying he will be a good starter for a good while. The only DB I can think of is Corey Lynch. I think JJ is very good and I named him an All-American while I also have him in the mid rounds but I do think a top 65 pick is a little too rich when you consider that he is a developmental prospect and not a guy you expect to start from day one.

If he runs what I'm hearing he could run at the combine then I do have a feeling he will have a meteoric rise from the combine and find himself drafted in the same range as Dexter Jackson. I just hope he isn't the bust Dexter was. From all accounts he is a good kid and not the ego nor the lazy worker Jackson had become in his final year at App and with the Panthers and Bucs.

I don't remember. I think I read it on gsufans. What are you hearing he will run? If he gets into the 4.4s, I would think second round at least.

If he runs in the 4.3's, you don't believe that would put him in the 2nd round?

From what I saw of Wilcox he has a chance as a kick returner as well. So that adds value to him.

He is a great athlete. Late bloomer with huge upside. One of my favorites in the blue and white in the last decade.

Wait, this is citdog. Surprised you didn't try to ether me.

Watch WR Jesse Grandy move waaaaaay up those charts. The former UCA WR who transferred from Ole Miss was quicker than any defense that could play him. I have no idea why we didn't throw it to him more often. Also I expect Jeremy Jester, former UCA defensive player to make his mark in the NFL. He also transferred to UCA from the SEC from Tennessee and is built for the NFL. But Jesse should move up pretty fast.

I think it could but I would not take him that high. Again, I'm not saying I don't think he is good or could be good but just saying I would not take a player who is still raw and considered a developmental guy that high. I'm just not one to reach on players but someone may. I ultimately think he lands in the 3rd round but I will keep my mid round grade on him. I personally would not reach on him above Alford and Webb who have been good longer and just like him have great speed.

Players don't move up as much as people think. I have Grandy as a PFA because he is light. I would have him in the late rounds if he were to weigh around 175-180 and run 4.3s. He will run well for sure and while I don't project him as a draft pick right now I could see someone taking him in the 7th if he weighs more than he did during the fall and runs in the 4.3s. Teams take chances on pro day freaks and players with great measurables or speed in the 7th round. He certainly fits the bill there.

That's true...but for some reason those NFL teams love that fraction of a second faster...and Grandy has it. But your right..probably 6 or 7th round..there's a TON of talent in this upcoming class for sure!

NFL is all about potential. And, while new to the position, I wouldn't say he was raw. He has played 3 or 4 different positions at GSU, and excelled at every one. I don't think he gets in the 4.3s, but if he does, guarantee he is a second rounder, and more likely a first.

Safety is maybe the weakest position in terms of star power right now. So, who knows.

None of the GSU DBs who got a shot have really done well in the past so I'll be interested to see what he does. I would be completely shocked if he goes in the top 50 picks. I think 3rd round is where he ends up but if it were me I would have him in the 4th round on my board. Safety is weak this year but it gets better next year so I would not reach at that position when you could get better depth in 2014. With that said, the higher FCS players go the better!

Safety is weak in the NFL as a whole. Easily the weakest position. As a Skins fan, we need two safetys more than anything else.

Didn't Kiwaukee Thomas play 7-8 years in the NFL?

Didn't Kiwaukee Thomas play 7-8 years in the NFL?

7 years as a fringe roster guy. Mainly a guy who filled a spot on the depth chart and played special teams. I mean his career was not awful but he didn't start a lot and was not an impact player on his team. He's been the best of those in the last 10-12 years. I think Wilcox is definitely better than him so we will see what happens. I remember David Young and many others who got a shot and just never really did much. He bounced around a lot his last 3-4 years.

Thomas went to the CFL after he got cut from the NFL so he didn't retire but mainly got to a point where the money to keep him was too much for a guy who had a purpose on special teams and that was all.

9 years in the NFL as a CB and finishing one's career as a millionaire is a fringe roster guy?????????? Holy ****!!!!!!

FWIW Earthwind Moreland has a super bowl ring. Earthwind was truly a fringe roster guy. You don't play in the NFL for 9 years- 7 with the same team- as a "fringe roster guy." Thomas was an established NFL player.

That's what he was. He wasn't a Pro Bowl star and never had huge numbers in a year. He was an established backup and roster filler. I honestly had not realized he played that long because when I first typed I was guessing 4-5 years off the top of my head but still was not a name player and not someone who could not have been replaced.

I remember back when Paul Johnson coached and you guys had a lot of athletes who got a shot. And even some who didn't have a NFL career but only because of their size and not because of their talent because they were really good players.

From this past year's team I felt bad that as good as the OL was none of them appeared to be a NFL guy in the future but Wilcox, Eubanks, Stevenson, McKinnon, and Swope are all players I could see in a NFL camp and a couple of them may end up getting drafted.

I remember Moreland as well. All 3 of the guys were very good in I-AA.

OL is the one position where a guy can go from a non prospect as a sophomore or even junior to draftable as a senior. He needs to fill out, get stronger, and need to see him as a pass blocker more but definitely a name on my list. I just don't have him graded as a prospect right now.
