After a very impressive showing this past spring, Josh earned the 2006 starting job.
Washington State: He transferred to Montana from Washington State, enrolling in January of 2006. He passed for 1,826 yards and 17 touchdowns in three seasons at WSU.
2005: He played in three games last season for the Washington State Cougars and completed 9-of-18-0 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.
2004: Swogger started the first six games of the season for the Cougars and was 91-of-193-7 for 1,283 yards and 13 touchdowns. At one point that year he threw 93 consecutive passes without an interception. He was named the Pac-10's offensive player of the week for his performance against Arizona, when he passed for 240 yards and three scores, including the game-winner (20-19) with 53 seconds to go. He missed the last half of the year with a foot injury he suffered against Stanford.
2003: He played in nine games at WSU as a redshirt freshman, completing 35-of-69 passes for 396 yards and one touchdown.
2002: He delayed enrollment at WSU until January of 2002 and was a redshirt.

The 6-2, 215 pound quarterback from Grand Prairie, earned “Most Valuable Player” honors in last year’s Holiday Bowl where he led the Sooners to victory over Oregon. Bomar led Oklahoma to victories over Kansas State, Kansas, Baylor, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State during the regular season.
