Literally one of those on the 'pantheon' of baseball greats. What a tremendous person and player. In this time of a "fraud-a-day" athletes, Musial stands as a monument as to what people can be. I am truly lucky to have gotten to see him play for a number of years before he retired.

What a player. A hero for of my fathers' generation of southrons when the closest baseball to us was St. Louis. My old man LOVED Stan THE MAN!

My father was a Brooklyn Dodger fan. He said It seemed like Stan hit about .600 at Ebbetts Field.

Maybe he did.

RIP "THE MAN"

It 'seemed' like .600. Musial's BA at Ebbets was the highest of any visitor...I think it was about .375. Reports say he wasn't even booed there, the fans had so much respect for him.

Sad news for baseball, despite being an all-time great he was under appreciated.
